The "mask fit test" is conducted to evaluate whether the mask fits closely to the wearer's face. Even if the mask has excellent filter performance, it cannot demonstrate its intended effectiveness if it does not fit the face properly. Therefore, it is necessary to confirm both the filter performance and the fit to the face. Using a dedicated measuring device, the number of dust particles inside and outside the mask is measured to determine the fit factor. As of April 1, 2023, mask fit testing will be mandatory! We will visit your business to conduct the test (limited to northern Gunma Prefecture, Tochigi Prefecture, and Saitama Prefecture).

There are no legal requirements regarding the qualifications of individuals conducting fit tests. However, it is recommended that those conducting the tests have sufficient knowledge and experience to ensure the accuracy of the fit factor. At our company, a trained representative who has completed the mask fit test training will visit the workplace to instruct on the correct way to wear the mask before conducting the test.
